Avengers star Aaron Taylor-Johnson becomes a rugged Kraven the Hunter for the upcoming Spider-Man spin-off film.
Kraven is one of Spider-Man’s greatest foes who has yet to get the live-action treatment. Many believed he would be the villain of Spider-Man: No Way Home after the events of Far From Home, but we now know that the film will be a multiverse adventure with the emergence of villains from past films. However, Sony is developing a Kraven solo film with Avengers star Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the role.
J.C. Chandor will direct the upcoming Kraven film from a script written by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk. Not much else is known about the Spider-Man universe film, and as we wait for some official news, you can check out fan art from SPDRMNKYXXIII that imagines Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven below.
Before Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Kraven arrives, Sony will be releasing Morbius starring Jared Leto:
One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and transforms this healer into a hunter.
Directed Daniel Espinosa from a script written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, the film stars Jared Leto as the lead anti-hero, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, and Tyrese Gibson. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing the project with Lucas Foster, while Palak Patel will oversee for Sony.
Morbius is currently scheduled to be released in theaters on January 28th, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s upcoming Kraven film, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content!
